  • 4th of July parade and festival - Bettendorf's Old-Fashioned Way to Celebrate parade will begin at noon, State St. and 23rd St. The 4th of July festival will run from 2-10 p.m. on Spruce Hills Drive along Cumberland Square, and will include 14 bands, crafts, food, rides, petting zoo, and an adult bags tournament.   • Rock Island Arsenal Museum - The Rock Island Arsenal Museum, established in 1905, is the second oldest U.S. Army museum after West Point, and the only certified Army museum in Illinois. It contains information on the history of Arsenal Island, an extensive collection of small arms, and other artifacts. The museum's displays change periodically; only about 10 percent of its collection is on display at one time. The museum is in Building 60 on North Ave. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday (closed on major holidays.). Enter Arsenal Island through the Moline gate.
