  • Bicycle tour of Arsenal Island - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will offer a six-mile bicycle tour of Arsenal Island from 10 a.m.-noon A park ranger will guide the tour, which will begin and end at the Mississippi River Visitor's Center on the western end of Arsenal Island at Lock and Dam 15. Historic points of interest include Colonel Davenport's home, the old Moline Lock, Arsenal Quarters One, the Confederate Cemetery, and more. Advance registration and helmets are required. Vehicles are subject to search and participants should allow 15 minutes extra. An adult must accompany those ages 11 and under. A photo ID is required for those ages 17 and up.   • Rock Island Arsenal Museum - The Rock Island Arsenal Museum, established in 1905, is the second oldest U.S. Army museum after West Point, and the only certified Army museum in Illinois. It contains information on the history of Arsenal Island, an extensive collection of small arms, and other artifacts. The museum's displays change periodically; only about 10 percent of its collection is on display at one time. The museum is in Building 60 on North Ave. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday (closed on major holidays.). Enter Arsenal Island through the Moline gate.
