  • Bicycle tour of Arsenal Island - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will offer a six-mile bicycle tour of Arsenal Island from 10 a.m.-noon A park ranger will guide the tour, which will begin and end at the Mississippi River Visitor's Center on the western end of Arsenal Island at Lock and Dam 15. Historic points of interest include Colonel Davenport's home, the old Moline Lock, Arsenal Quarters One, the Confederate Cemetery, and more. Advance registration and helmets are required.   • Rock Island Arsenal Museum - The Rock Island Arsenal Museum, established in 1905, is the second oldest U.S. Army museum after West Point, and the only certified Army museum in Illinois. It contains information on the history of Arsenal Island, an extensive collection of small arms, and other artifacts.
